VPC-200 Mobile 200kWh Battery Energy Storage System

The transition to electric vehicles and equipment can place additional pressure on an already limited grid connection. The VPC-200 stores energy and makes it available when site demand increases, supplementing the current supply and helping businesses introduce higher-powered equipment or charging infrastructure.

Two integrated CCS2 connections allow the VPC-200 to support charging compatible commercial vehicles, electric construction equipment, and fleet vehicles.

By drawing energy from the battery, the system can deliver rapid charging without placing the full demand directly on the local grid connection. AC power can also remain available for site equipment while DC charging is in use, subject to the VPC-200’s total simultaneous output limit.

This makes the system well suited to fleet depots, construction sites and other locations where charging demand exceeds the available grid capacity.

The VPC-200 can store electricity when demand is lower and make it available during busier operating periods. This gives businesses greater control over when they draw energy from the grid and can help reduce short-duration demand peaks.

Intelligent battery optimisation software manages system performance and supports more efficient use of the available stored energy. Where compatible with the wider site design, the VPC-200 may also help businesses make better use of locally generated renewable electricity.

Measuring 2,250mm long, 1,450mm wide and 1,800mm high, the VPC-200 delivers substantial storage and power from a relatively compact footprint. The unit weighs approximately 2,800kg excluding its trailer and can be moved between suitable locations as operational requirements change.

For larger applications, up to three VPC-200 units can be connected in one string. This modular design means you can expand your energy storage installation as your power, equipment or charging requirements grow.

The VPC-200 uses intelligent software to optimise battery operation and provide visibility over system performance. Individual battery packs are monitored and can be isolated to support safe and dependable operation.

Ethernet, RS485, Wi-Fi and 4G interfaces enable communication with compatible monitoring and site-management systems. Supported communication protocols include IEC 102/104, CAN and Modbus.

Continuous monitoring and alert functionality help operators identify changes in system conditions and manage the unit more effectively.

The VPC-200 uses lithium iron phosphate battery technology with an integrated liquid-cooling system. Controlled battery temperatures help maintain consistent performance across changing loads and environmental conditions.

The system provides 200kWh of rated storage and 180kWh of usable capacity, with a cycle life of more than 5,000 cycles to 90%. Replaceable battery packs also support maintenance, repair and potential second-life use.
