This distribution centre in South London uses standby generators to support the LV setup on site.
Prior to the install, their existing generator was unable to support the full LV arrangement. To ensure full power stability on site, this customer looked to Vital Power to upgrade their critical power.
This site’s existing equipment was a 750kVA CAT diesel generator. This distribution centre required 2MVA worth of power to cover the whole site. As a result, this customer opted to install an additional 1250kVA on site to cover the unsupported load requirements.
This was not only a cost-effective solution for site, but their existing machine was fully functional and bespoke modifications were made to ensure that both machines could support site in synchronisation.
