VPG Marks 10 Years of Growth and Expansion

Founded in 2016, Vital Power began with a small team operating from our first office in Chester, focused on providing customer-centred critical power services with a fresh approach to a mature industry.

From those early foundations, we have rapidly become one of the UK’s fastest-growing critical power service solution providers, delivering engineering and service support across sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, data centres, distribution, and more.

A Decade of Progress

Over the past ten years, our journey has been defined by ongoing development, from securing national service contracts and expanding engineering capabilities to achieving recognised industry accreditations and broadening our service offering.

Key milestones include:

• Opening additional operational bases as demand grew
• Expanding nationwide service and maintenance coverage
• Securing major contracts across retail, public sector, and infrastructure
• Achieving ISO and health and safety accreditations
• Growing engineering capacity and technical expertise

By adapting to changing industry demands, including developing UPS services and exploring sustainable technologies such as battery storage, we have continued to evolve our capabilities and strengthen customer support nationwide.

Today, we support over 2,500 generators under service and maintenance plans across a wide range of industries, underscoring the scale and trust we have built with customers over the past decade.

Celebrating 10 Years

To mark the occasion, the team gathered for a small celebration at the Chester office, one of several locations that now make up Vital Power’s growing national footprint.

Reaching this milestone highlights the dedication and resilience of our employees, as well as the trust and partnership of customers and suppliers, who have contributed to our success.

It also represents an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come as an organisation, from a handful of employees to a thriving national operation.

Growth Today

As of February 2026:

• The business has reached a headcount of 78 employees
• Operations now span four UK bases: Chester, Coventry, Doncaster, and Maidenhead
• Additional recruitment is underway, with further new team members joining in the coming weeks

This expansion demonstrates continued demand for critical power expertise and our commitment to strengthening service-delivery capacity nationwide.

With headquarters located in Coventry and a 24/7/365 operations centre in Chester supporting customers at all times, the company remains structured around accessibility, responsiveness, and technical reliability.
